Los Angeles Employment Lawyer: Muslim Whole Foods Worker Claims Discrimination

A Whole Foods employee says he was fired after going on an Islamic pilgrimage during approved vacation time, reports Los Angeles employment lawyer Eric Grover.

11/21/2011 // Los Angeles, CA, USA // Keller Grover LLP // Eric Grover

If the facts support the former Philadelphia, PA Whole Foods employee’s claim that he was discriminated against because of his faith and later fired after attending Hajj on approved vacation time, then there may be grounds for an employment discrimination lawsuit, says the Los Angeles employment lawyer. Federal labor laws prohibit such discrimination, and Whole Foods could be in direct violation of those mandates if the claims are accurate.
