Students are trading cramped dorm rooms for spacey mansions in suburban areas.

If banks would get smart, they would see that this is a genius idea to help keep empty foreclosed homes maintained, and have some income flowing from an otherwise defunct source. Banks could offer homes to rent to students for a reasonable rate–like a student discount–to get someone living in the home, and eliminate the threat of squatters, thieves, and the house falling into disarray until it can be sold.
