Study Suggests ‘Freshman 15’ Weight Gain is a Myth

A study says that when it comes to freshman students gaining 15 pounds in their first year of college is a myth.

I have to completely disagree with this study; the freshman 15 is a fact in my opinion. When starting college, students often drink a lot more and eat unhealthy. Not to mention, the food served at the college’s meal plans are not the healthiest and it’s very easy to pack on the pounds and not even realize it. I have seen a lot of my friends (and even myself unfortunately) gain at least 10 pounds during the first year of college. Some then realize it and begin dieting, while others embrace it.
