Disability Discrimination Lawsuit: 600 lb Houston Man Sues After Losing Job

An obese Houston man says he was wrongfully terminated and discriminated against, causing him to lose his job, reports the California employment lawyers.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, it is required that employers provide disabled employees with resources they need to do their job. This is exactly what BAE Systems failed to do when they neglected to provide Kratz with a seat belt extender, which would have allowed him to safely operate the forklift. It is apparent that Kratz was wrongfully terminated, because his weight did not affect his performance, because he reportedly received “good” evaluations in his position.
