Calif. Lawmakers sign bill to ban Shark-Fin Trade; Some call bill ‘Racist’

A bill banning the sale, trade or possession of shark fins was passed, despite objections from Senators who call the bill “racist.”

Just because something is considered a “delicacy” in their culture doesn’t mean that the act isn’t cruel, unethical and just plain wrong. Sharks should have rights too, and they don’t deserve their fins to be cut off and then left in the ocean to die. I fully support this bill to help save the endangered shark species. I applaud the California lawmakers.
