“The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has announced the introduction of a self-regulatory program. The program will be mandatory for its members, as part of their latest efforts to ward off government regulation of the World Wide Web,” reported law firm marketer Rene Perras. It looks like Internet regulation and privacy programs are becoming a reality. Now only time will tell if the government will step in and implement regulations on the whole industry.
